History Course Schedule for Fall 2013

The Fall 2013 course schedule will be out right after spring break. Below you will find the history courses being offered. Seniors should be especially diligent in speaking to their advisors to ensure that they are on track for their anticipated graduation date.

Four other points of emphasis:

1. Any history major who has not taken or passed HIS 225 should register for it. This is a required course that is also a prerequisite for HIS 496 (see #2 below).

2. Students anticipating a Dec. 2013 or May 2014 graduation date should plan to register for HIS 496 Seminar in History in the fall semester.

3. HIS 324 and HIS 435 will be the only non-U.S. history courses offered in the 2013-14 academic year. Seniors anticipating a Dec. 2013 or May 2014 graduation date should make sure to sign up for these courses if they are lacking in the requisite number of non-U.S. courses to complete their degree program.

4. We are still working out the details of the public history internships. If you are in Dr. Mielnik’s Introduction to Public History course and are interested in a public history internship for the summer or fall, please see Dr. Cheathem during the registration period after spring break.
